From what I remember, the black and yellow wires going to the coils is larger gauge than that stock, j9 what do you think?

if you get everything wired up like hitman says, it should work.

Don't forget that you have to turn on the feature in the e6k dos software so it uses the toggle wire on the trailing ignition.
I have that wired up like Hitman and BDC say ( I think...Well...Obviously I dont because it doesnt work... ). Youre supposed to run 12v to the "two tan wires" which is what I thought I did...

Would it matter if I spliced the haltech wiring into the stock wires instead of fully cutting them and soldering?

I think what you did there was interupt the signal that your ignitor is giving your coils. If you were to try and connect the 2 tan wires back to stock setup and turn the car on everything should be fine. Also don't forget to turn on the toggle in your computer.

[quote name='adamlewis' date='Sep 24 2003, 04:06 AM'] I have my trailing coil wired up right as far as I can tell from Hitmans and BDC's instructions, but I cant get my trailing spark to work...

Heres a pic of how mine is setup. BTW, my leading spark works just fine.

I think I may have done something wrong with the two tan wires, but I dont know...Anyone help me out here?
the 12v power for the trailing coil is the black w yellow plug, you should have just left it alone, and wired up the signal wires

I believe the black with yellow connector he is talking about is the on with the 2 black wires with a yellow stripe in them. The reason I think this is because if you look at all the 12v+ switched ignition components in our cars they all have wires that are black with yellow stripe. Also if you look in the fsm on page z34 (wiring diagrams; 89-91; turbo models) the switched 12v+ wire for both trailing and leading coils is labeled black with yellow stripe. This connector is in the background of you pic, bottom middle, just behind your spliced white wire. Hope this helps.

Ever since I had my E6K put in I 've been having a problem with my rear rotor tailing coil not firing. I believe there is a problem with the way it was wired.
in in/output setup page did you select ignition togle for aux output? that would cause this if all wiring was done right.

rxrotary2 7: I got it to fire now. I found a little while back that this could be the problem. Now I can't get it to run. The person who install and attempted to tune my car had my setup entirely jacked up. I'm going to try and zero my timing today and install a new map. Hopefully this will all help and I'll be able to bring my car home. Then I should be able to do a little more fine tuning and finish the break-in on my motor.(little smiley praying for running car)

How did I know someone was going to ask that question? Anyways, sorry Vosko I will not say that person's name. I have enough problems right now and I would perfer not to have that person come back and say I was slandering them on the internet.

Got the car to start up and zero'd the timing. It still runs like **** but atleast all of my coils are firing correctly now. I will go and upload the new map here when the computer battery gets done charging. Hoperully the new map will help greatly. We'll see. I'll update this tommorow.

Well for some reason the map wouldn't upload. I think I'm going to just go and have a breakin map put in by Rotary Performance and call it good. This is frustrating!!!!!!
