im looking into fuel only computers for a super budget fuel injection system for my 12a.

what im wondering is what ecu's are relativly cheap but wount burn out.

i know some old haltechs, what whats series (eb, ek9) whats theres. i think there F series...

whats about megasquirt. how hard are they to wire in. im only using 2 injectors and a TPS maybe...

are any fuel only computers able to run without using a TPS? sensing load by vacuum so i dont have to wire in a TPS to this equation????

the plan...

holley 600 carb, block off the fuel inlet.

2 inch spacer with two S5 550cc TII injectors and rail.

Racing beat inkate manifold.

fuel only computer such as old school haltech or a mega squirt.

but the whole TPS thing will not work with the holley as a throttle body thing. let me hear some ideas. not put downs...

Mega squirt does not have to have tps. i hate to say it but this is one thing this forum sucks at, the ecu section is dead, and I also hate to say it I hate the other forum, but in this case there are some really knowledgable people on rx7club on the megasquirt part. I am still learning the megasquirt as it is, but I have my megasquirt built and as soon as the engine parts roll in I will have it running both fuel and ignition for less that $300 (less than $400 with the JAW wideband unit.).

Some good reading there, explains what they use and how they factor in barometric pressure and temperature.

thanks for that link!!!

im gonna go with the 3.0 mega squirt if i cant find a used 2.2 first.

i think instead of using the holley, even though i think it would be cool to do. im going to use something else. i have another budget idea building.

this time i'll be using a TPS. most likely a big V8 throttle body, and fabbing a manifold.
