Speed to RPM Conversion, 3rd Gen
No formula but old fashioned maths:
Convert your mile per hour to feet per minute
Measure the circumference of your tyre. Most accurate way is to mark tyre & floor, roll 1 rev , mark again. Measure distance between marks.
This gives you feet per revolution. Divide this into your feet per minute.
This will give wheel rpm. Multiply this by your final drive ratio.
Assuming you were dyno'd in 4th (direct, which you should have been) you now have your rpm at the speed you converted to fpm
