It was hitting 15psi by 7k. The EBC had nothing to do with that. Yep, boost creep. The wastegate on this turbo is ported as far as it can go. It still can't keep up with the airflow. I'm not sure what to do next. Maybe the infamous cheatergate that's used too often in Japan by ghetto racers. It'll sound like an external wastegate without the control. But it should allow some more flow. I dunno.

I guess the turbo is called a "hybrid" over here, but I still call them "hi-flo" turbos. Force of habit from learning what I know about cars when I lived in Japan. To me a "hybrid" turbo is one that has two different turbos mated but neither one has anything to do with the original. A "hi-flo" turbo is one with just an upgraded compressor housing.

But I will have 4 720cc injectors in it soon. At least I won't have to worry about running lean.

whoah, that's damn impressive. I don't see a FMIC in your mod list though...did you just leave that out. 15psi on a hybrid compressor and those intake temps on the stock IC would be insane!! Sweet power though.

As far as the creep goes...why can't you just grind out the bridge between the 2 wastegates and make one giant oval shaped wastegate and then weld on a big oval flap to match?

No FMIC yet. I have the "small" 16 row Isuzu NPR I/C. All I have to do is fab up some 2.5"o.d. piping to work it in.

That's an idea with porting out the wastegate. But to do so, I'll have to have my car down for a while now. It's my daily driver after all. Right now I'll just deal with it.

Stock injectors. Knight Sports FDC. Walbro fuel pump. HKS S-AFR controlling the injectors. Stock FPR.

After 5500rpm the a/f starts to lean out. But as long as I stay off the boost it'll live. That's easy to do with the silencer tip in. I can't flow enough exhaust through it to make more than 4# of boost. People were telling me that it was impossible to make 265rwhp with the stock turbo and injectors. I did it and the car was still running fine. Those people are tools I tell you! I have lot more power now and it's still alive. I just will take it easy until I can find time to skip out of work and hit the dyno again with the 720's.

oh yes I remember seeing the 265 rwhp dyno @ 1 bar over on the other forum. Very impressive, and 15 psi on a hi-fi turbo with stock TMIC pulling 330+ rwhp is down right awesome. Get that thing tuned.

Damn...can't edit post so I must post *****:

Kahren....didn't you post up a dyno of one of your friends over on rx7club. If so I recall you had quite an attitude and assumed anything over 8 psi on the stock system even with a walbro would blow up the 13bt. Well I finally got my car on a dyno. Running 11 pounds all the way I was actually rich on the top end. 11.3:1. Your apology is accepted
