white smoke = burn water, blown seal

black smoke = rich fuel

blue smoke = oil

Check to see if your water level is decreasing.

blue smoke, white smoke..... the blue in the smoke is so light that you wont even notice it unless the sun is glaring on it

ATF produces white smoke because it is closer to a hydraulic fluid than motor oil.

Check your fluids...which one is lower... I had the same question before since the smoke i get looks white, but is actually oil burning most likely coming out of a leaky turbo. I lose about a quart a week, and my coolant level has been the same for the last 6 months so its pretty obvious.
