I just got my 88 RX7 GXL.



When I start it more smoke comes out of the pipes then I have ever seen before. Also oil runs down the outside of the exhaust pipe.



So I am getting a white smoke out of the exhaust and a blueish smoke out of the engine compartment and under the car.



I have heard that it could be the rotor to housing oil seal but I wanted to see what other said before I rip the engine out and spend 850 on a kit.



Any ideas?

 

yea it sounds like an oil seal-it will have to be disassembled completely may get by with less than 850 kit you will have to check all seals. i would put all the seals, springs, gaskets and apex`s in it at least.

 

If youre gonna go as far to rip it out, you might as well go through

the hole engine now if you got the $$$. Save the headache of doing again later
