about 15K miles ago I rebuilt the engine on my other turbo car (DSM) I sandblasted the cast aluminum intake and several other parts that run pretty hot. then to preserve that new look I shot them all with 2 coats of clear coat. WORKED like a charm Engine cleans real easily now and the cleac is still nice and clear. I would so the same thing to stuff on my 7 in the future
