for me when i was 16 i got a 1985 GSL that car saws a nice car to start off on cause you can beat the living crap out of it and it will still love you and you can start learning about rotarys with it.



then i bought a 1988 TII you dont even wanna know about that



then im getting a 1993 base on wed



im almost 19 and just for this car im having to work 40+ hours of work just for the car. i wish my mom and dad would give me 15k to buy a used car or 30k to buy a new car

if he wants a good car thats cheap stock there is the MazdaSpeed protege that car can handle!!! or WRX those cars are sweet. i would say you need a car with a warrenty something brakes and the dealership pays for it

 

egh im fed up with warrenties myself, im only 18 though, and i've had 8 already, my first rotary is a 3rd gen, my second will be a 2nd if i can find one i want... 10th aniv... im sorry to hear youre working 40+ to get one, what happens if it breaks though!?!!!

 

no thats 40+ to have alot extra left over not just for the car. the car payments are 400 a month and insurnace is 200 a month. ill have alot left over.

Eh, like any car a mustang will handle well. You just have to "tweak it" there are lots of 5.0s that win road course championships mind you. Don't be some ignorant import dweeb. I'm a "CAR ENTHUSIAST" i love all cars, from 5.0s, to Road Runners, Chevelles, Pintos, Corollas all the way to my FD, FC, Skylines... and such.



Every car has its strong points. An FD isn't the right car for your FIRST car. If you want to get familar with a rotary and have something that handles well, might i suggest as others have, get a 1st gen or a NA 2nd gen. A turbo rotary is going to kill your walet. A Turbo II would be a nice car, but it can eat away at your walet, and i'm trying to find one as well. They are quite rare now adays, and i don't need anyone putting more in the junkyard!!! So get an NA. They handle well and will keep up with your friends hondas!



Don't ever buy a car to impress others.. do it for self enjoyment, do it for you. If you need a car to get you *****, you are a dork. I drove a cavalier to high school, and i got plenty of ***. Its all about you, not the car. My friend drives an NSX, along with many other cars, but he hardly gets looked at in it... but when he drives his 2001 FORD Lightning.. the chicks are all staring... just goes to show you, chicks dig trucks



Get something fun, I work at my friends' dealership and we can get anything at good cost. But clear your head and think about things a little more before you get into a car like this.

add that up.. do you have that much? remember, owning this car is all about being prepared for when your motor pops.. so consider that 4Gs as part of the buying price... cuz if you have no cash when it does happen.. and its your ONLY car.. your are SOL.
