the v mount intercooler is held up with 2 bolts and 2 couplers... so i dont know about the difficulties it gives in working in the engine bay

ive had my front mount for a year now and i love it. Imagine what you could do with the other 800 you would be saving while not sacrificing any eficiency. I mean you could get a kaz lsd for around that...just my two cents! good luck

FD will never be a sleeper.

Thank you, I was waiting for someone to say this. You can have a stock FD and just lower it an inch and it'll look like it can annihilate a Pegani Zonda LOL. I have a pic of SilverNinetyThree's lowered car with the stock rims on that I can't seem to find right now, the car looks like it's ready to explode upon anything which moves.

i did have overheating problems when i installed my fmic. i had to cut the stock bumper to make it fit. my power fc said it was anywhere between 95 deg celcius and 105 degrees which is too hot. i then crashed my car but i get it back pretty quick here and i put on the mazdaspeed gtc kit. it has a big mouth on it and should eliminate that issue. plus when i got enough dough im getting the feed vented hood...

You do know that the stock FD fans don't come on until 95/100/105C. You weren't overheating. Your power FC had that built into it. Only way to change it is to get a datalogit and turn the fans down.

I have NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER had overheating problems with a FMIC. Proper ducting and a fan temperature set at 85C. I NEVER have cooling issues.

Lol. what pic was that? I probably have it on my computer.

Interesting topic guys. Good reading/learning for me.

from what ive read on this issue, it seems that vmount is a little better but not by much and people who have done the fanmod shouldn't really worry about their radiator much. but im also wondering if it could be done with the stock hood and if it would lose much effectiveness.

and its not much of a sleeper. i think its the most beautiful car and thats why i got it. i have no wing, no outrageous body kit. just a nice front bumper, and a dark red paint job. thats the perfect look to me. and i really dont think anyone looking at the car will not think that it is fast, especially after i get my wheels. the only sleeperiness would be if someone thought the car was stock if thats what you meant. but even then its not much of a sleeper.

That's exactly what i meant..... that the car looks less modded than what it actually is. No FMIC showing=sleeperienss

I never had real bad heatsoak with my SMIC, but it was just too small.. I got the FMIC for a GOOD price so I couldn't pass it up.. I like them both honestly, sure the VMIC sounds and looks nice, but I've never had problems, so I'm not going to dish out the skribble for something I don't need.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

ive had FMIC and SMIC.. i really looked into VMIC but its just too expensive and kinda cluttery looking. I prefer SMIC over all the types so far.. but i would only use a LARGE SMIC if i were to do it again.. looks cleaner.
