i was thinking of borrowing a temp logger from work and sticking under the hood to collect some unnecessary info. the logger i might use has an Operating Range -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F) and

0 to 100% RH. it has some sorta plastic case. would the under hood temps kill it?

I think it should be ok as long as its not near the manifold and turbo(s). I dont see them temp getting over 185 otherwises.

Are you logging via Labview?? I met some guys who works for nascars monitoring airflow, temp, etc. They do all this stuff thru labview.

Not sure what a temp logger is, but does this help? Nothing outside of the DP and turbos seems get past the 185 F. mark, at least immediately after shutdown. But depending on the type of plastic used for the box, it might warp it.
