Again, YOU are wrong about this.. Factory sensor is fine. Its the gauge on the cluster that has problems.

Yes, herblenny is right, that is the coolant level sensor, NOT a "1st gen water temp sensor".

And IMO, Rotary Performance screwed up when they drilled and tapped into your WP housing for that temp sender. The throttle body coolant line that you indicated (in another thread) your going to by-pass anyway would have been a way easier and better location, since it will give readings before the themostat opens or in the unlikely instance, it stuck closed.

since there is already one on the stock location, its redunant to put another one by the water pump assembly. I also agree with Jim regarding putting an aftermarket sensor by the rear plate (where the TB coolant line originates) as usually its the hottest point in the engine.. Look at this chart and maybe this will clearify some questions..

Since you're talking about the fluid level sensor, how do you get it out? Mine has a coolant drip and won't tighten or loosen.
