I switched to synthetic 2 days ago. I was against synthetic because of what i read on the internet. I heard alot of stuff. But then I noticed a thread on the other pos forum just about every day that discussed synthetics. I spoke with my rotary mechanic who has used synthetic for the last 10 years in his rx7, he said that every engine he as opened up, he can tell if it uses synthetic or dino juice.
When I first ran my car with synthetic It idled a bit rough for a few minutes. That went away. I don't notice any real differences except it does appear my water temps have decreased a bit.
Dyno Juice is out. We hear alot of crap about how Mazda said not to use it. That was 10 years ago at the begining of synthetic oils, and who knows why mazda made that statement. MAYBE mazda was a little pissed about all the engines blowing up under warranty and just didn't want to chance anything that was synthetic (besides, maybe they can deny a claim if someone was using synthetic).
I think the owners manual says to keep my tire pressure at 32, but I found that I get better performance on the track around 20, so I don't think we should take mazdas word for everything.
Whats the worst that can happen? Ok, maybe the engine will blow up, big deal. Ill just get a ported engine, lol.

If you go to the MazdaSpeed site, Royal Purple had a seminar at SevenStock5 where they said it is ok to run synthetics in a rotary. I think this may one of the most credible 'yeh' vs. 'neh' since it happened at a Mazda sponsored event. it sure is nice to see actual differences and opinions without all of the other **** from you know where.....
i will be running royal purple in my car this winter, and that oil will conclude my study on oils..i MAYalso try some red-line, but don't know. i like the higher viscosity of the dino/mineral oils, but who knows......

20psi in the tires will result in some heavy wearing on the tires. not to mentio on the bushings and suspension components, however, low tire pressures are the shizzle for good grip on the rear, but the front will tend to sway....
