hey guys new problem with the fd running great most the time and not so much some of the time. When driving some times the tone of the engine will change and it will not make any boost down shift from 3 to 2 and runs good it only happens under light acceleration and at highway speed could any one help plus my power fc is seeing a knock count of 25-70 knock lots of people say not to trust stock knock sensor were could i start to diagnose this problem scratching my head right now

where are you when goin from third to second...

 

stock twins yes and its seems to be really randome some times it happens in second sometimes in third and 5 never in 1 or 4 but if u go wot from first to 5 its good its when you get out of boost and then try to boost again and like i said the tone of the engine changes car gets really loud

 

Vacuum leak / cracked hoses? Maybe a solenoid going out?

 

going threw it this weekend had the manifold off a few weeks ago to test the injectors so ill pull it off again and check all the vacume lines

 

A lot of the hoses you won't even know they're cracked until they get hot and expand, unfortunately. They are a PITA to change (it's why I'm full non-sequential now...) and if you decide to change them, my best tip is make sure to cut them off the solenoids instead of pulling. The solenoids snap VERY easily...

 

the owner before me did the air pump and vacuum delete so im a little lost there's lots of stuff blocked off and so on but other then this problome car runs like brand new and love it

 

Yeah, it definitely sounds like there's something wrong with your solenoids. You should really get that checked first.
