Stock Sound System
#1
I've never heard it myself since i brought it with from a guy that put in a new one. But from what i read it uses the same technology that is in the Bose cannon bass speakers (in fact i think it is the cannon speakers). I was wondering if anyone was old fashoined enough to leave the sound system stock, and if they could fill me in on how it is.
thanks

simply put..... it sucks ***! In 93-94 it was cool high tech stuff, now it's garbage
If you find one that hasn't been beat up for 10 years!

The Bose hose sounds OK, for a factory stereo in a 10 year old car. Mine suits me just fine and my last car stereo cost about $2500 USD.
I've got all my cash under the hood, and it sounds better that way.
If I wasn't so lazy I'd trade my 12" sub to someone for a 10" and build a CF sub box in my spare tire well. Get rid of the whole Bose setup, it's just way too ugly and a pain in the *** to work around.

I had an audiophile next store and he thougth it sounded pretty good, and this guy is a no BS with a $50k home system. So i guess it is what you like. But it does take up room, and likely a little weight, but if ever think about resale or collectability i would keep it at least, cause it is that type of stuff, combined w/ looks, rotory, etc.. that will make this car collectable someday.
