Would anyone know how to check faults on a stock ecu? Im haveing problems with my stock ecu on my new built engine. The engine runs smooth at idle but when you try to drive it it leans way out and looses all power. i have a engine light on and would like to know why.

if anyone could help i would verry much appreciate it

www.scuderiaciriani.com i *think* that site is still up. it will talk you thru checking engine codes along with TONS of other useful info. Let us know if that doesn't help. i'll be more helpful after i sober up.

Your car probably isn't "leaning out". I'm guessing whatever is caused the CEL also put the car into "limp mode". This is designed to prevent damage to the engine under some circumstances. It runs normally as long as the UIM has vacuum, but the ECU won't let timing advance under load.....hence, no power.
