i just got a 93 TT and want to tweak it alittle intake exhaust and would like to add some boost to the stock turbos how do i turn up the boost on these babies?

Yes, they're sequential.



Stock boost is 10 psi. The full graph would be rising to 10 by about 2500 rpm, slight dip to 8 at about 4500 as the 2nd turbo spools, then back to 10 psi to redline.



No, you don't want to just "turn up the boost". The stock ecu only has fuel maps to about 10.5 psi. Any higher than that and you will blow the engine.



Not to spoil the fun, but you really should read through the FAQ's. There is a LOT of information in there as to how to upgrade these cars without blowing them up.

hmmm.... you should read up and study your car and what can go wrong by simply raising the boost before you go ahead and doing it.



keep in mind that we have fast cars, but its fragile.



if i were you, i would try to make sure all maintainace is up to date. do all of the reliability modifications and slowly making the car faster.



i saw your other thread about intake and exhaust. before spending the money there, do all of the reliability stuff first...... you'll be happier driving the car as fast as it is now for the next 2 years than driving it super fast for 2 weeks and having a blown motor

 

So...think we should assume from the nature of the questions posed, and the lack of any more recent postings, that there's now yet another FD out there with a blown engine?
