cruising down the road and coming into a turn i decide to floor it in forst gear, pushing 1.0 boost on stock turbos street ported engine, brought it up to 8 grand rev limiter started cutting fuel got it into second and damn, rpms dropped in a nasty way, sounds hella slow on the throttle push the gas wait a few and rpms will come back up dont push the gas and it dies so i limped it back home and damn was it a bitch to keep in gear and tried to start it this morning and NOTHING wont fire up smells like pure gas coming from the exhaust. i think i may have flooded it by tring to start it to much but is it possible that maybe i just blew a spark plug maybe fouled on out to the opoint of the engine misfiring???? PLEASE SOME ONE HELP I DONT WANNA REBUILD MY ENGINE.

unflood the car and check your plugs..

replace em... check your map sensor as well...

might as well do a comp test while you have the plugs out...

yea it sounds like its flooded. go to rx7.com and go over there procedure for unflooding the 2nd gen motor its the same as the third gen, and then try it. I doubt that you could even drive it home if you blew your motor which most likely would be a blown apex seal but if you had a really rough idle then you may have blown an apex seal and will require a rebuild. good luck
