what exhaust sounds good on this rotary i already have a larger down pip and that other 3 foot piece after the downpipe i am looking for a "catback" with a good rumble driving around and not too loud when i drive it "spiritly"







INTAKE- i would like one that not only performs good but looks good under the hood









Thought i would ask u guyz and girlz who have tried this stuff out before

If you're already running a 3" DP and 3" midpipe, you really should be looking at getting an aftermarket ECU before looking at catback or intake.



As for a recommendation on catback, I love my apexi dual n1. good sound, and still looks relatively stock. A lot of people really like the Racing Beat exhausts. BTW, if you don't want the exhaust too loud, you need to pick up the silencers if you go with the N1. They've been shown to be about a 5-7 hp drop (by dyno charts I've seen), but offer a significant drop in decibles.



Not sure what exactly you're looking for in the looks department when it comes to an intake. Something as subjective as looks is hard to give much of an opinion on.

Yes definately add an ECU before you go full exhaust or you will be getting a new engine with the new exhaust.



But if you want a full exhaust and it not be to loud all the time get a RB dual or single. Mine's fairly quiet untill the secondary turbo kicks in then it screams.

I'm also running the Racing Beat Dual Tip Catback. Really nice sound. I'm also running the HKS Super Megaflow Intake. It comes with the foam type filters and you can order whatever color you want. I started out running the green 150mm filter elements and now I'm running yellow....just keeps me from getting bored to add some color Here's a pic of my HKS intake I took when I first bought the car. is it safe to drive with no ecu and just downpipe and midpipe?

Every car is a little different, but running a midpipe can result in boost CREEP which will cause your engine to run lean and detonate. Creep results from too much exhaust flow, overwhelming your wastgate. The cure (with a stock ECU) is to port the wastegate, or put your cat back on. The latter will also quiet you car, keep your eyes from watering and your clothes from smelling from the exhaust.

As for a nice sounding cat-back, I have a GREDDY SP.....Up side: Quality construction and materials. I also love the sound at idle, low and mean. And under WOT, it sounds better than anything else I've ever heard. Down side: It tends to drone at cruising speed and the tip is frickin' huge. For looks I love the RB DUAL TIP, which looks great, is also quality and sounds almost as nice as my GREDDY under throttle.

you're good to go with the stock ecu if you only upgrade the intake, downpipe and catback.

Its probably safer with this setup than with a mp,dp, and intake. I actually ran with a dp,cb and intake on the stock ecu for a little bit and all I had was alittle spike to about 10.5-11 after transition, but every where else was fine. This was with the racing beat single tip, which is one of the more restrictive cb's. It may be different with a more free flowing cb. But like was said every car is different, but I would buy a cb with the stock ecu before I changed the mp out.
