Here's the deal. I started off stock, and never hit the fuel cut, even though my DEFI showed a solid 11 PSI boost. Then, I got a downpipe.. car got faster, but no fuel cut. Then was the HKS Carbon-Ti exhaust. Only hit fuel cut when flooring 5th gear (I know that's bad, but it was for testing). Recently, I installed my Apex twin intakes. Now, 1st and 2nd gears are wicked fast, but 3rd gear hits the fuel cut at around 5800 RPM. Where to go from here? I'm looking for options to control boost without loosing the strong 11 psi I have, and something that doesn't cost a fortune (Saving for a PFC).

Thanks!

sorry for the question i am a noob, but why would installing these simple bolt-ons cause the fuel cut to hit? there isn't an increase in boost right, just flow into and out of the turbo? i'm very interested in this because i plan on having a downpipe and exhaust and intake withing the next three months and want to know what to expect.

I hit the fuel cut due to boost creeping as high as 13PSI

Home Depot Race Team Boost Controller

1300cc secondary injectors will ensure you run rich at high load and RPM. Probably way too rich. Cost about $350.

Instead of buying one of the most expensive boost gauges on the market, you could have saved that extra money for the PFC. Using a $60 Autometer temporarily wouldn't hurt anything. The PFC has proper boost control and displays your boost, negating the need for a gauge in the first place.

Funny thing is how many things you have before you found the fuel cut. My car would cut fuel at 5000 RPM in third gear after installing only an intake
