Shakes On Startup

when i startup my car is kinda shakes for about one second. then everything is fine. idles fine, runs fine, just that one second that it shakes pretty bad on startup. why? engine is old, 110k miles..could this be the reason?

Could be a bit crusty around the seals with goopy build-up and takes a second or so to free and get compression again?



Try running upper cylinder lubricant/cleaner or similar thorugh it and see if it improves? If you're that bothered by it.

yeah but wouldn't he have the same problem if he hits the gas if it was the motor mounts?

other responses i've gotten are fuel pump and power fc....



anybody else have this problem??? besides startup everything else runs fine....(well, fine for FD :-p )

does it do it if you start the car when its already warm?
