Hi all.

Having a problem with an upgrade we did. My friend has a celica which we fitted with a 13B REW engine from FD. Its all stock, except the fact that we changed from a twin turbo setup with a single turbo setup.. We're going to run the engine on stock ecu and stock boost until we see everything is running fine. Now, what we did is remove all solenoids except the fuel regulation and double throttle solenoids. Now, the secondary injectors are not working.

Can it be that we need to put resistors instead of the solenoid valves cos the ecu is not reading something? In case yes, what type and what resistance?

Also, what type of ballast resistor do we need to add to low impedance injectors? (10Watt 10Ohm resistors are ok?)

I thank you for your time to help me out....

the car is probably in limp mode. You're better running the Power FC or other engine managment system so you can view the codes, and other vital engine paramaters. If you removed the the rats nest of solinoids then yes you need to put resistors in. I can't recall what resistors are needed.. but these being disconnected will cause limp mode.

42: Turbo Precontrol

43: Wastegate Control

45: Charge Control

To test the injectors themselves you can hook up 5-12 volts to the injectors and see if they click
