I just went down to my garage and looked at my engine. I didnt see any difference in rotorhousings.. I'll post some pics later.

look next to the exaust port in the rear housing (external) and you will see it.

Realised yesterday what all you friends were trying to explain when i was looking at a post for peripheral porting and realised that there was something strange about the housings this guy had ported. When i got home i inspected my rotor housings and realised that mine were different. Both the old and new set i got , have two air injection holes per housing same as the 12a housing someone had informed. Hence i deducted that in my case having the rotor housings inverted should be no problem. What one has to keep attention on is the exhaust gaskets since these have only one air injection port in them and will get the emission problem if they are assembled the other way round.



Both my housings are jdm. Could be that the us models are different. It is also clear that the port holes i have on my housings are smaller in diameter than those i have seen on the porting pics.



Will try to post pics of my housings later.





I also noticed that in my new housings the oil injectors lack the brass part with a straight slot in them. Instead these have a sort of rubber o-ring inside. Do i have to install these brass parts or is the o-ring a replacement of these. Have tried to remove the brass parts from the old housings but they were too hard to turn. Can anyone enlighten me on this issue

blow into the center port below the primary intake ports, air should come out of the exhaust ports, if it doesnt then it wont pass smog.



the new housings are updated for the 99 models, they found that boost would suck all the oil out of the oil injector, and then it runs dry for a while. so they updated it so it doesnt do that anymore.

Will check it out tonight but i'm sure it would work cause one hole on each housing points to the centre plate whilst the other holes on each housing point to the front or rear plates respectively but they are not interconnected. Here is a picture of a housing that looks like mine.



So there is no need of the brass fitting for the oil injection?

the difference is not there, the air injection air comes in from the side. look at the pic i posted

Blew air threw the secondary intake port at the centre plate and it came out of the exhaust port and these small port holes beneath the exhaust that are adjacent to the centre housing. Should that be fine.



Those ports marked by you are present on each side of my housings but not interconnected.



Got really mixed up now mate. Shouldn't air go through the pockets you marked and out of the holes shown in my pic. If so why does my exhaust manifold have no ports in it that lead the air or exhaust somewere else but the exhaust gaskets are?

those holes in the gasket face are just so they can drill the passages i think, they are just decoration.



though if air goes into both exhaust ports, you're in good shape!
