question for everyone here

About two weeks ago I decided to try Mobil one 15-50 syn.

This weekend I notice a small puddle of oil. It seems to be in a shape of the drip pan. So I tightened all the bolts that could get at. Went to work and back the next day and I notice it is still leaking....Lifted the hood and I noticed that the front of the engine is wet. around the OMP....I'm not exactly sure if it is the front cover of the engine that is leaking, I mean if it was both sides would be wet and not just the passenger side...

I was just wondering if anyone else had the same experience...I will try to post some pics...

thanks,

I have the same exact leak, I'm thinking it's the omp o ring. I'm not sure, that omp is a bitch to get to. Are you burning oil also?..

I have heard "stories" that people have developed leaks when going to synthetic due to the thiness of the oil. Like I said "stories" I have not had this experienced this to verify true or false

Is it bad to switch from synth to reg oil? The previous owner used it but I'm not a fan since I'm changing it every 2K miles anyway.
