Well the search for the leaking oil has lead to somewhere around the oil pressure switch and underneath the oil filter ne suggestions of how to check where it is coming from and how to replace / fix the problem? the oil only leaks after the car has been run doesn't leak while the car is off.. thank you

It could very well be the O-rings on the oil filter adapter, two 10mm nuts and it and the oil filter should come right off.

Very commom on Basically all Rotarys. My FC did that.. just two little O- rings.

They get brittle over time.. and begin to leak. just makes a huge mess around Oil filter area.. and all over your Plug wires

just take adapter off and size the new ones. A local parts house, home depot, pluming outlet should carry most sizes. the dealer will just RAPE you for them.

Another sure way is if you use some dye. You can pick up ultraviolet lumanescent dies at most auto parts that get added into the oil. Then you can just use an ultraviolet light and wait to see where it leaks. Just another way of doing it. Or you could just replace the o-rings

do what they are saying go to mazda spend the 6-15 bucksand get the o-rings. if you really don't want any problems get some brushable gasket sealent(any autoparts superstore) and put it all around the flat metal surface of the adapter.
