New Brakes

i just bought new brembo slotted and drilled rotors and hawk pads for my fd. just wondering if there is anything i should know before i tackle the change out. any tips or tricks? any things NOT to do? any input would be very helpful! thanks, joshua

Changed my front rotors a month ago. It was pretty easy.

make sure you put the rotors on the correct direction

Dont forget some anti-seize on the bolts so you make it easyer on yourself for the next pad change.

push the piston all the way in.... so you can use the shims, they are important.

also check the piston seals, they sometimes go bad.

Make sure the M pins go back correctly, the pads will wear uneven if not installed with M pins or installed incorrectly.

Upgrade to stainless brake lines. If you use your car

for some road racing, autocrossing, or anything else

that requires constant, forceful braking- upgrade your

brake fluid also-to resist boiling- which causes fade.
