Make sure the slave cylinder is not coming loose from the bellhousing. My clutch got finicky once, and I rebuilt the master, replaced the line, and went to install my reman slave and found the old slave was coming loose from the bellhousing.

Yup, had the slave come loose, had it die on me, had it leak. I'd take a good look at the slave and the line between it and the block.

okay just crawled out from under that biotch.. everything is in perfect shape. no leaks anywhere!!!!!!!! the slave is not loose at all. the fork is still perfect. the t/o bearing is perfect still also. my awesome grease job is still there. the whole bell housing is still super shiney(i cleaned it when car was apart last month) it seems to me that either the new oem master is to blame or the new feed slave is the culprit. sooooo tomorrow if i can find the (didnt throw away the old stuff) old master i will swap it out and see if it will work. wish me luck people.

i really hope i didnt throw that crap away yet!

well put in the 2nd new master cylinder and it is still not working. sooo that leaves the slave and the release collar.

I ran into the same problem with my clutch, but then I realized my stupidity. This is how I fixed my problem: first of I have no idea how your power bleeder works, I bled mine with a suction type bleeder. Leave the reservor cap off, make sure the clutch pedal is fully engaged. NOW BLEED TO YOUR HEARTS CONTENT! Tell me if that worked. Good Luck

boost addict okay i will try that idea tomorrow. lol theres only so much i can reach by myself so i will need to get some one to hold the clutch in while i use the power bleeder... which works more like a pressure pump forcing the air all the way through the lines and out the bleeder valve in the slave

well i tried boost addicts idea today. and i still have the same results....a non working rx7. i will try again tomorrow though with some better help. some people have mentioned that it might be the pilot bearing. i dont understand how that could be it. not quite sure how it works anyways besides being a bunch of needle pins in a casing. could someone explain how that would relate to my problem. they didnt say how it would make the car not function properly only that i should check it out.

update... pilot bearing is/was toast! it was so destroyed that i was amazed. only the thing now is to get whats left of the outer casing out and put in the new one.
