Well the wierdest thing happenned today as i was driving around. I was stopped at a light for not more than a minute and when the light decided to turn green i couldnt get my car into gear. crap... so i turn the car off put it in gear start the car in gear and am able to pull off the road into a parking lot. this were it gets wierd... after checking everything i possible can with no tools i decide to try to limp my car to my parents house which is only a 5 minute drive from where i am at..lol much closer than the 30 minutes to my place. during that 5 minute drive my clutch will let me go into first gear about 60% of the times i try(20). then once i am rolling i can change gears perfectly and it feels fine. but sometimes i just cant get it to go into a gear when i am stopped.



I recently replaced the Clutch master cyclinder with a new oem part. the clutch line with a stainless one from k2rd. the slave cyclinder with the FEED big slave. the clutch form with a new oem part. and the throw out bearing with a new oem part also. i have been driving for about 3 weeks since i have installed all these parts.



the clutch just doesnt seem to seperate sometimes....almost like a bad fork again..but i dont think so because i can change gears perfectly after i am rolling. which i couldnt do really last time my fork broke. it was really hard to get into gear then.

sooo i cant figure out why it decided to be all funky today. any ideas? cause i am TOTALLY stumpped

make sure all the air is out of the clutch line...

yeah i am going to buy a motive power bleeder tonight. its just that i have been driving for almost three weeks with no problems. hopefully i didnt get a bad master cyclinder. damn frustrating though...

air can work its way late.. if your are having to pump or anthing.. there is air in the lines or you have a bad cylinder. not much to that system... also make SURE that since you have adjusted the clutch adjustment on the pedal if you have changed the clutch/pressure plate or any type of piston change. These can all affect how the clutch engages.

well i got a motive powerbleeder kit. it works awesome. i bleed the hell out of that line and i adjusted the clutch pedal but it still doesnt work. this time the very first try it worked and then after the 6 try it stopped working again. soooo i am planning on lifting the whole car up again and check the fork/bearing assemble. any other ideas?...



things i already did:

new oem master cyclinder

new stainless clutch line k2rd

new Feed big slave cyclinder

bleed clutch line again!

new oem clutch fork

new oem throw out bearing

adjusted clutch pedal

What kind of condition is the actual clutch in?



The FEED slave isnt adjustable right? I cant remember hehe

and you are sure everything is tight? no leaks... and the master cylinder is full of fluid?

jason... the feed slave is not adjustable. and the clutch is pretty new. like less than 3000 miles. worked great until my fork broke.



ttpete the motive bleeder pressurizes the whole system. i didnt hear any hissing, see any spraying of fluid, and i didnt feel any fluid anywhere at all. possible the master isnt full but how would i even check that?

Hey...i just dealt with a similar problem. I checked/replaced all the things you have listed. My clutch fork broke as well and the current clutch on the car at the time only had about 3000 miles as well. I put the new clutch fork in and the problem didnt go away. Something happened to the clutch (you can't see anything out of the ordinary on the clutch or pressure plate when i pulled it) when the clutch fork went. Unfortunately and i know you dont want to hear this...i had to turn around and drop another 450 on a new clutch kit and everything has been working better than ever for about the past month. just check the fluid level.. in the reseviour... says MIN on it.. make sure its above that line and below MAX.



The slave shares fluid with the brake master cylinder....
