Doesn't your buddy Martin have one? He could tell you all about it. I had one for a while. I did not notice any large temp drops. If you remove the weather stripping along the top edge of the firewall you will get about the same venting effect out of a stock hood. Honestly the hood is more for looks than anything else. I kind of got tired of the rice boy look after a while and ditched it. To each their own.

I have to agree with Fd3BOOST on this... I think some of you think it actually help cool the engine but I think it helps cool the smic (or Vmount) better as it reduces that back pressure a bit.. But with my FMIC and when I had the Scoot, it made no real difference.. And thats with 3x more opening and opening closer to the top of the engine.. If it did, I think few minor degrees.

I also agree, its more for the looks than anything else.. By the way, I love the MS look and I might be picking one up also..

After NUMEROUS track events at VIR and Summit Point... i *KNOW* that it drops under hood temps with a V-mount . I've run on 100* + days with similar preped cars that were having heat issues and mine with no heat issue at all. Granted, 99% of the people i've seen with aftermarket noses, I/Cs, Radiators and oil coolers don't do proper ducting on them. Properly setup, it should help on any engine bay configuration.. with that being said... i have modified my hood since the last event and can't wait to see if it makes any difference over last time.

just my $.02
