Liscense Plate

Stupid law here too. I don't have a front plate on my car or all of my former cars either. Never gotten a ticket for it. I've been driving the FD around w/ no inspection sticker for 6 months too. Haven't gotten any **** for it. I just got my sticker yesterday though. Don't want to scretch my luck that far.

you can get away with having it in the window in Jersey. all you have to do is tell the police when you bought the car it had no front plate bracket, and they cannot be ordered from the dealer anylonger.(from what I hear this is actually true)
Side note: I have an allmost new front plate bracket for sale. ULTRA RARE!!!!

Hey that's a good one... I'm gonna do that next time. Hopefully when I get pulled over next time it's not a 4' cop that looks like he's still in highschool and plays star trek rpgs with his buddies, that seems to think he owns me. I'm 6'2" 210lbs. former military. He asked me to get out the car and his face just kind of changed expressions.
hehe
"They discontinued the front mounting bracket from mazda" good one.

to do an automatic plate type thing you could use a power window motor, it's compact and provides as much power as you should need to simply fold a hinge. A big thing in the "customs" scene is to mount it on like a body piece with an "axle" in the middle. When rotated w/o plate it blends into the body, when it is flipped the plate is visible and all legal. wish i could find a small video of it, i had a vid of it on a vette converted pickup (vette suspension, engine etc) but cant seem to find it.
