I have friend with leaky oil control rings, and cannot afford a rebuild right now.

Would a good temporary fix be to pull the E-shaft oil thermostat and put in the Racing Beat plug?

Could this buy him some time?

Symptoms:

Much oil smoke while running.

Turbo oil line looped in to eliminate the possibility the turbo is shot.

Turbo and manifold off car to test run and we can see oil building inside rotor housing and spitting out exhaust port while idling. After shut down oil observed puddling inside housing.
