Hey guys and help on this would be appreciated. I had a stinger 220 H/O alternator installed in my 94 FD a couple of months ago and it seems to have caused a few problems. When I ordered it they said it would fit my car, after the place put it in they told me to make it fit they had to grind down the case but that was it. Well my temp sensor broke off and according to the mechanic it is because the alternator was put in crooked and the

tension from the belt caused the problem. He is the only one to touch my car since I have had it (6 years) I trust the guy with my life. My question is what modifications have to be done to get this thing to fit properly so when I take this thing back I can tell the shop , oh they also broke the vacuum box , cut a bunch of hoses , cranked up my idle , my throttle body cable came off , needless to say they will not be touching my car again. I just want whats right . If its some bracket modifications they apparently don't do that but they never should have installed it in the first place if they didn't. If you guys can give me some ideas I would appreciate it.

Really not sure what ideas can be given for this kind of situation. It's ashame there's shops out there that will screw up your car just to sell you there product. Best information I can give you is be careful who you let work on your car.

Wow, that sucks. I was looking to do the exact same thing on my 94 to help the stereo along. Why were you going for the H/O alternator? Have you had any resolution to your problem? Any suggestions for me? It does not sound like stinger is the way to go.
