I plan on using a GReddy T88 for high hp purposes. I'll be dragging most of the time so lag won't be too much of a problem. I was wondering though, how terrible will the lag be? At what RPM does the turbo spool? I'll be doing full 3 inch exhaust all the way back to take down on the lag with no cat. (Alabama has 0 smog tests and cops don't ever check your emissions equipment) Mostly what I want to know is this, will the car still be streetable? I want to be able to drive it on weekends to races and sometimes just out with no races involved. Thanks for any help.

The turbine will kick in around 4000rpm. I personally like having a big turbine, when it comes to drivability because your can drive with it kicking in and killing your gas.

What do you mean by killing your gas?

If you drive and never boost your gas mileage isn't too bad. If you boost a lot...well your gas mileage goes down fast. I used to average 8 to 11 mpg.

So are you saying that driving within the lag while needing to be conservative is good for mileage? I can give a damn about mileage, it'll be weekend only. I just want to know if it'll be streetable. (Legalities don't apply, just physical abilities. IE: I don't want the lag to be so horrendous that I'll only gain 5 mph every 10 seconds until boost hits [exaggerating of course] but I don't need it to be terrible.)

T88 will be good all around. Sounds like you have alot of spending ahead of you. What do you do for a living?

if you are waiting for boost.... you're in the wrong gear

Profession? None as of yet but I'll be a lawyer soon. Right now I'm fiddling with the stock market. Thanks for the help and lol to the "Waiting for boost, wrong gear."

What I meant to say was, it is good to have a big turbo because it won't kick in while driving normal, saving your gas.
