The T88 is an out of the box setup. I think there are better turbos on the market, and you should make something more configurable to your needs. You could find a different setup that yeilds more power and sooner spooling capabilities, but then you get into the market of having a lot of custom parts. And people who go cheaper on this route usually end up with problems; rather than the out of box solution.

The only other thing I would mention, is if you still plan to race the car on the street, you could be in trouble. If it is strickly a 1/4 TRACK car, then there is no worries. You will be tubbing it before long. But, if your car is something that you plan to race on both arena's, look at variations to a custom turbo to find that sweet spot. An exhaust housing on a turbo is easy to replace. Hell, you could keep one in your storage bin and replace for track purposes... Just don't forget to make sure it is cool before you try. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png I know of a friend who has a finger print on his housing now.

The last bit of advice, go out and ride in a few variations if possible. It is never fun spending all that money, and being disappointed - or trying to convince yourself of the excitement - with the car.

If you're gonna try variations and you're still stock and sequential, go NS. LOTS of fun.

I'm not just buying one from GReddy direct. I'll be having the turbo built for me at BNR. It'll be a little bit better and a little bit cheaper, from my understanding. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I mean when I step up to a GT42 turbo then I'll worry about lag, as far as the T88, I wouldn't worry about it, I'll try and contact some of my friends that have been in my car so that they can post and give you their opinions.

GT42 spools better than any T78/T88.
