does the PFC have a cold temp correction map?

What is IAC...is it the same as idle speed motor?

sorry to have to ask again.

Get a hold of JSPEC, mine did the same thing. At first I was a little worried about messing with the cells, but I couldn't take it any more. Use the map tracer and watch which cells it goes into. Then adjust 3% 5% 7% in the idle cells untill the hunting is gone. It took he around a hour and now i can idle normal. Mine did the same thing when it reached 87c on the commander.

Thanks again Van

I did that... No matter which way I adjusted them, nothing changed. I watched the map tracer and adjusted up and down in each cell accordingly.

My IAC is unplugged.. WHAT THE **** is hunting idle??

What the **** changes the idle maps to surge when the goddamn thing is unplugged? And what the hell does temps have to do with it? I know there is tons of **** I don't know about the PFC.. But it can't be THAT complicated.

Van, I IM'd you.. But I'm guessing you were sleeping LOL..

**** this car.. This **** is annoying. 40K and what do I have? A ******* shiny lemon! lmfao!

Anyway, I'm damn near positive I've checked everything.

Oh well.. It's nice to look at.

Justin you turd!

Okay, plug the idle control valve BACK in. Then adjust down the idle screw till it's barely touching. Then turn your idle down to 1000 rpms(I have mine set at 900 rpms).

Do the trick exactly as Todd said. There is ONE block that you will NOT adjust. That is the block that the car will idle in. Mine idles in 2 right/5 down(don't remember which is N and which is P) All the other ones adjust as he said.

The idle IS water temp related. Once your PFC recognizes it is warmed up it starts using the idle/ignition control ****. I'm not sure exactly HOW the PFC knows those blocks needs more fuel, but it does. Once you add more fuel to the blocks that are highlighted(EXCEPT for the one magical idle block) it will learn idle on it's own.

I had IGY teach me this trick and so far it's fixed a number of idle problems for people.

By temp correction maps I meant that the PFC will change the map by a certain % depending on temp. When its cold the car needs more fuel to run correctly, when its hot it doesn't need as much so it cuts back the fuel a little. You can look at the different temp correction factors in the settings menu somewhere. Look in the manual. I've heard of people messing with those settings to make it run better but I never have.

I'd try Van's idea first though before you go playing with those.

Thanks Van, Justin and toddp31. I'll go back at it again. Sorry I get all pissy.. I have a real bad attitude sometimes.. ANYWAY, I've gotta get a new battery now (lol one MORE thing) and then I'll have at it. I appreciate the help, really. I'm going to get tuned today as well.. SO wish me luck. Hopefully I can get it running smooth. I'll be sure to post results.

Van, you know... I thought your AIM was jspecracer7. LMFAO!! I didn't reallize you spelled out the seven.. Wonder who the **** I was IMing??

Goddamn this **********er is relentless. Nothing I do even seems to have an affect on this trailer park idle.. I'll keep trying for an hour or so.. If nothing else, I'll just lean it all out, crank the boost and hit the highway.

The car will idle like **** when its cold man, there is really not too much you can do about it. just pull some fuel out of the PIM voltage on 1000rpm. Should help you somewhat. Also adjust your idle screws accordingly.

Trailerpark idle? Nah man, just means its CAMMED!!!

one of my friends liked his rotary to have a lumpy idle cuz it sounded cammed..lol

"that thing misfiring?" "that thing cammed?"
