The external systems are just the same as a pistons engine. There may be some small diffrences Im not thinking of but for the most part there is no diffrence.

No, I knew that. I mentioned the MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) because some systems use one or the other or even both. I was asking does the system use a maf (Mass Air Flow) sensor?

I also wanted to know if I could get a Stand-alone from a piston engine and put it into this car. (if it supports the type of injectors. sensors etc.)

Yup, Haltech, MoTec, and Microtech (the common rotary ECUs) all can work on piston motors and rotary.



The rx7s stock use a maf but when switching to an aftermarket ECU its not nessisary.

The FCs use a MAF sensor, the FDs only use a MAP sensor.
