Funny you should say that Dan. I didn't mention but I am making some carbon fibre skid plates. You want me to pm you when I get one done?

[quote name='Fd3BOOST' date='May 5 2005, 01:01 PM']Another one that I wanted to do make isa carbon fiber UIM cover. I know this is not orginal. But it seems easyt enough and I was going to give it a go. I have started to mock up a manifold and throttle body so I could start working on a mold. I have not really gotten to far with this yet because all the other stuff i got going on. I hope to get this one turned out in a couple of weeks.

It's only looks different because i molded in the center void on a stock manifold. I change the shape only to clear the center stud. It is desgined for a stock uim. It will mount off the two top studs on the throttle body and the one mounting tab on the rear of the manifold. No need for a deposit. I will let you know when I get some done.

Yea, its just a manifold and throttle body. I filled in the space with epoxy putty and layed some primer over it. It's coated with resin now.

I'm always learning as I go. I have been using fiberglass for a few years but I have only recently been using it on a daily basis. I've been curing under vacuum which gives pretty awesome results.

Man those look badass. Which I had some skills like that. I'd give it a go if I had a garage.

Scrub 05-08-2005 09:33 PM
