I'm wondering of the size of the 13b engine. I say it's a 1.3L. My friend says 2.6L. Give me your opinions.

wouldn't that make it a 2.6L then. I've been always told 1308cc.

it all depends on the pulses per revolution of the engine and wether to base it on the 2- or 4-cycle equation or what-have-you. Mazda bases it on the 2-cycle and calls it a 1.3L....makers of piston engines bitch about it when it comes to racing classifications and base it on the 4-cycle and calls it a 2.6L. Call it like u see it?

I like 1.3, because it's more impressive when people see that kind of power coming out of 1.3.

Mazda says 1.3L. Until someone proves them wrong and they change it, it will always be 1.3L regardless of what people argue.

exactly the engineers can't decide what it is some call it 1.3 others 2.6 most owners go with 1.3 while piston owners that have some idea say 2.6. others that are retards (that guy in techno babble section of SCC insist that its a 2.6) its a debate that will go on for a long time.
