I am trying to remove the eccentric shaft lock bolt. Is it a standard bolt that unscrews counter-clockwise? Anyone have any helpful hints to get it off? I have tried an impact wrench and a littel heat but it won't move.

those things are on there! we put a breaker bar on it, and hit the breaker bar with a jack handle. if that doesnt work we put it in a press

the front bolt in the center of the pulley? An impact allways takes that sucker right off. is the engine in or out of the car?
|
make sure the flywheel is held down so that the engine doesn't spin while you are trying to take it off. Other than that, we used a breaker bar with a jack handle as well.. took some force but finally got it.

you guys need stronger impact guns, or bigger air compressors!

**** we used "Big Bertha" on it and it couldn't bust it...
this was at my old job at Discout Tire Co. where we have all the professional **** and Big Bertha is for doing RV wheels and ****. lol |
The engine is out of the car. What do you use to hold the flywheel when using a breaker bar?

I am at home in a garage so I only have 125 psi. This might be a good excuse to get a 3/4 or 1 inch impact wrench but man that sucker is on tight.
