when i first got my fd i bought a fluidyne rad and those 12 inch fals. i tried zip tying them but it wouldnt work because of the way the rad is angeled in the stock location. i cant remember now why, but they hit something. anyways yea.

Yup. There's a thread around here somewhere.. But I'll try to re-cap:
Initially I didn't do any mods to the PFC to adjust when the fans kick on, so the average operating temp of the car didn't change, however when they kick on the temps drop like a ****** rock.
Then I ran with the fans on (fan mod) and the car runs almost too cool.. I forget what it sits at since it's been so long since I drove it.. 87C maybe? It's rather low though lower than what would normally kick them on. Even when I'm doing several hard pulls from a dig..
Bottom line: From what I've noticed, they DO pull more air. But they have to be on (obvious) to make a real difference. I'd guess that tuning the PFC to kick them on at a lower temp will result in a ultra cool car.

Thats what I wanted to hear. Sounds like money well spent if you can get your average temps to 87. My average water temps last summer were running 91-93c. with that 3 row front mount. Which is fine but it would be nice to have the ability to tun it a few degrees colder and adjust the fans to come on later.
