I just replaced the headlight motor, which i got used from a member in this forum. The motor works fine, my problem is that i could not get both headlights come up or down at the same time. They are moving out of synch with each other. Is there a way to reset this?

It is actually one up and one down

there are manual 'valves' in the engine bay for each headlight. play around with those until you get it right

Thanks but I know about those *****. I tried to raise or lower the headlight with the power disconnected, but it went back to its original position when the fuse is put back

not too familiar with the 3rd gen, but headlights couldnt work too diffrent than the first gen.............try removing the linkage from the motor to the headlight, hit the swith to open them, and reinstall linkage when in the right position. If its like the first gen I mean that one thin rod that snaps off from the motor and headlight assembly. make sense???You probably installed the motor while it was in the open position and your cars other light motor was in the closed or viceversa.

that one's got me stumped man, how bout removing the linkage from one and the power to the motor on the other, not the fuse or relay but direct power to the motor.......other than that what if you disconnect the motor and jump it with a wire to the battery until the light is the right position then hook it all back up. cars are great huh?? let me know what happens.

I did the direct connection to the battery to move it into the correct position, but it goes back to its original position when i reconnect the power.



I also tried this with first removing only the headlight motor fuse, and both fuses (motor and headlight) with no luck.



I have not try the linkage idea yet. I have to remove alot of stuff to get to it.

I fixed the problem



Thank you for the linkage idea. I was able to loosen the nut that hold the linkage enough from above and pushed the headlight into the "correct" position.
