you dont need to know, they got a warranty chances are if it lasts a year it was worth the $2k, plus it's unlimited mileage which is great!



im biased though as this is what will eventually be going in the car i get, when i get one. from what i've read mainly what is needed is the turbos, a street port, better fuel pump (or dual), bigger injectors, a pfc, and things such as that, to get SPO's numbers (none of that is mandatory except i guess the pfc, i doubt a street port is needed). Plus SPO has about another 20 rwhp in tuning, and thats without it being clipped, so you figure about 430+rwhp without clipped wheels. So once you clip wheels i'm definitely picturing 450rwhp if not more.



Also i don't know if SPO put an emphasis on this here on nopistons, but those turbos are non-seq and he STILL has tons of power down low....on the other forum he posted a comparison to the m2 duals and these blew those away .

oh and when i was talking to bryan he said its about 10psi at 3500 rpm, with full boost (20 psi) at 4500rpm, those were just the numbers he gave me perhaps he meant 18 like stephen used but who knows. Still the lag must be hardly noticeable.

Yea there really isnt any lag to speak of.



Also, I dont want to take credit from someone....I didnt actually post the BNR/M2 comparison chart, someone else did.



But anyway, they they spool great and I was actually hitting 20psi for a day at 4500. I accedently set the boost wrong and was hitting 20 instead of 18 lol. Its a good thing I run conservative tuning!!!!

And, BTW - I dont think I'd EVER buy NEW stock twins or 99 spec twins when I can get more warrenty on rebuilds that include a ported wg for like $750. With the carbon seal on its way out I think people are going to realize the more modern seals are doing wonders for these turbos!!!!!

What? So.. the 99's aren't as good as rebuilds? How much of a warranty do you get out of stockers or 99's?

Most of Mazda's parts then you buy them off the shelf only have a 90 day warrenty.



I the new or 99 turbos are going to be nice but I dont know that I would pay $1500-$2200 more for them over just having mine rebuilt.



Just a personal thing though. Different people like different things. If I were going to spend that kind of money I'd just get the stage 3 upgrades (which are only $2000)

you can break anything. it depends on your luck. so far with my experience new is always better than rebuilt............... but like i said it all depends
