For sometime now I've felt that the clutch pedal engagement/disengagement is a bit too high in my car. It's difficult to get an exact measurement by myself, but I estimate that it occurs about 2/3 of the way up from the floor. Not a huge issue, but my preference would be to have it lower. As background, I've got a relatively new ACT S/S clutch and PP that I put in early this year (< 5k on it and I drive pretty conservatively) and the old clutch engaged about the same place. At the time of the new clutch I bled the line, and since then I've had the entire clutch/brake system professionally flushed and bled with new fluid. There are no leaks. The "free-play" and the height of the pedal seem to be within spec according to the FSM.

I'm just looking for some feed-back from other owners to see if this is normal. I'm in an area where there aren't too many other FD owners to ask. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

The pedal height is easy to adjust and set where it's comfortable to you. Behind the clutch pedal there is a threaded rod with a jamb nut on it. Loosen that jamb nut and turn the rod until the clutch height is comfortable to you. Tighten nut.... Drive like hell. You'll need a 10 mm and a 12 mm open wrench to do the job if i remember correctly.

As a side note... i set my pedal engagement point as high as i can with out it applying pressure to the clutch cylinder, that way i can "jab" the pedel just a lil between shifts and have it still disengage.

^Yep, and thanks Grey. I've already made some adjustment on the rod, but I wanted to stay within FSM specs on free play. It may be that my engagement point is "normal" for the FD, I just didn't have anyone that I could ask to drive their car around the block for comparison. Mine just seems pretty high, even after adjustment.

LOL, and I like your sig pic, reminds me of an old boss at work. I'm pretty sure they're related.

To me it's always a plus to have as little pedal travel as possible. I also don't like soft clutches, I like it very firm and short to engage and dissengage, maybe it's just be though.

^ Firm yes. I don't want to feel like I'm driving a YUGO. But are you talking as little pedal travel as possible from the top or bottom? I prefer to have engagement/disengagement closer to the floor. Can you give me an idea where yours is for comparison?
