So, it will affect the idle? I'd imagine I can just run a new wire to the ECU as I left enough room for splicing.. DAMMIT

If the ECU sees extra COLD temps from the sensor (temps are expressed from the sensor in 0-5 volts with 0 volts being sub-zero farenheit), it is going to inject even more fuel (like a choke decreases the air in order to richen the mixture) and the result will be a really crappy running idle, with little or no possibility for the PFC to make a correction. If the sensor is not connected or cut, I would think you would have 0 volts going to the ECU.
I will check the electronics manual at home tonite and scan the page with ECU connections for you.

I tried to access iluvmyrx7 also, but I am afraid he is permanently down. A while back he stated he was going to close down, if so, it is a great loss.
Don't worry about trying to access the basic repair manual since the wiring diagrams are limited. There are actually two shop manuals for our cars and the one that has the best info of the kind you need is the body electrical manual (That is where the scans of the injector/ECU systems came from). I have that manual at home and haven't had a chance to scan it yet. It is a PITA to scan because the pages are folded 11x17 sheets and in color.

The water temp sensor for engine control is pin 3E, it's green /white.
The water temp sensor for the gauge is grey from the gauge panel through plug X-18, X-15 to plug X-14, from X-14 to the sensor it's yellow /white.
X-14 is near the ECU, with 8 pins, 1 of which is unused.
Print the manual, biznitch! It's only 2X 2" binders double sided!

I am going to call Jspec tonight, he said him and IGY had the same problem. He is going to try to explain to me how to fix it. He also said there was another post some where on here, but I can't find it.
