well, on poorly plowed streets the snow tends to accumulate a lil high in the middle of the lane/road from tires not being run over it.
I've seen people's exhaust canisters get ripped in half from ice here. Our winters are just as bad as on the east coast (we just get em a bit later than you guys HEHE) and the ice starts forming very soon after the initial 2 feet of snow. Be carefull since the worst part of it WILL be near the inside of the rims (where the canister is on the FD blah blah), so **** cuold happen.
on a serious note, if you hit ice/snow with the center of the car, I would say obviously you risk ******* up the bumper, then there is the underbelly pan, after that there is the drivetrain, which should be able to handle some ice
that reminds me. how unprotected is the oil pan??
