I'm looking at FD's to buy all over the place the really nice one's I'm finding are automatic transmissions. How hard is it to swap from auto to man.?

P.S.- yes I've researched it on the forum and I didn't find anything on it. (although I'm not good with computers... lol.)

Thanks a bunch!

just save yourself the headache and buy a manual car if thats what you want.

to do the swap i believe you will need the following:

the tranny

clutch/flywheel

pedals

clutch master and all associated hard lines.

clutch slave

interior trim and the rubber boots, shifter, ****,

probably the driveshaft

not cheap. and you would want to make sure you dont get a 93 tranny with a going bad 5th syncro which theyre notorious for.......

I just completed a successful swap the other day. EVerything is fine, runs great even with a used tranny. I spent about 3300 dollars for parts and labor, it's worth every penny, let me know if you have any questions.

Rotary Villain thanks for the info 'bout the '93 Tranny's I didn't know that. I think I'll be researching the FD section for a while to make sure I know what I'm doing once I get the FD. As for the swap, I was just wanting to make sure that you didn't have to have any sensor's or little quarks before doing the swap.

Thanks again!!

Why switch to a Manual when an Auto is way less of a headach. And with the hold button will act just like a manual It will push the engine way past the red line if on the hold option
