need help idle problem

I just got my 93 rx7 and it has a idle problem and it smells verry rich when running im only getting 170 miles to a tank of gas Im not sure what all has been done to the car i got it cheap and i have done nothing but put money into it. dont get me wrong its not a beater i have allready blew the doors of the new 2007 bmw. any sugestions to the idle and gas smell problems and no it dose not have a gass leak other then out the tail pipe any sugestions

no idea on what mods it has? take a pic of the engine bay and under the car (exhaust pipe) and post it on here. Also, pull the passenger kick panel and take a pic of the ECU for us.



That will point us in the right direction to figuring out what is wrong.

is the ECU still on the right hand side kick panel in a JDM car? I know the fuse box is but i'm not sure about the ECU?



170 miles to the tank? That sounds about right doesn't it? Rich fuel smell at idle... isn't that somewhat normal too?

i also wanted to add that the idle jumps around and when the car is warm it is hard to start as for the pictures im waiting fo my wife to find the camera when she dose i will take pictures of it

Sounds like the Air screw is set wrong it should be turned 2 turns out from bottom.
