Hi guys,



My car has an airbag... I want to install a Momo Millenium... I have the steering... have the Boss kit.... But the problem is the airbag mechanism has the horn system in it... Also what do i do about the SRS light....

you can get a mazdaspeed momo steering wheel so you can still use the horn

 

I always wondered what the real point of switching steering wheels is..

 

A smaller diameter steering wheel has tighter steering. Much much better for road racing. You don't have to spin the wheel as much. But takes slightly more effort.

Anyone removed the airbag themselves?



I need to get my steering wheel off to get re-trimmed and would rather do the job myself as the car is minus its engine right now.

Get the mazdaspeed hub... it'll save you the headaches.. but for a price.. i think it's around 150..



I took mine out, unplugged the airbag components.. but i still have the airbag light on... maybe i'll take the bulb out..



also, i had to rig a paper clip so i can use my horn...



I also have the Boss hub..

 

I have the Mazdaspeed hub, D-cut steering wheel and added a Momo spacer to bring the wheel closer to my hands. Works beautifully, horn in center button, airbag light is always off, but what I love is the better steering feel.
