Hey guys. I have an opportunity to purchase a 1994 RX-7 Touring. The car will be getting a completely rebuilt motor that is being finished up now. The body has about 85k on it and looks pretty stunning! The paint is nearly perfect, and the leather inside looks like new as well. It'll come with 2 sets of rims tires: one set of Fittapaldi (spelling?) rims, and the others I haven't seen yet are like 18x8 fronts and 18x9.5 rear with Nitto rubber.

This was a project car that the current owner just lost interest in and is moving onto something else. It's supposed to easily put down 500whp as an estimate from Apexi.

Looking for some advise on it.

It's red.

The current owner bought it a few months ago as a project. I guess it dynoed at like 390whp on 11 lbs of boost. He later f'd it up screwing around in some parking lot I guess. So, decided to go all out and get a fully built motor, Haltech, T66, V-Intercooler, etc.

Forgot to add that there would be a 2 year warranty on the engine.

warranty from whom? if from the engine builder, make sure its transferrable to you.

There's faqs aplenty on your subject. not to be a dick, but look'em up, there's quite a bit more to inspecting an FD, or even just a used car. Take it to a 3rd party rotary mechanic if you have the availability. Passing the mech $50 or so just to have a second set of eyes on your new car could potentially save you thousands.
