Does the amperage outputted by the alternator fluctuate with rpm? and if I have a 200amp fuse attached to my battery, will this alternator set it off all the time?

the higher the current rating the more parasitic loss you have. Keep that in mind. The difference between a S5TII one and FD one is 3 HP. 3 HP is a lot. I spend 500 bucks to get like 50 hp.

if you really want the extra horsepower on a dyno or drag strip, get twin batteries and disconnect the alt. at the staging lanes or just before you dyno. .

if you really want the extra 3 hp, hire a 65 lb 4'9 guy to drive the car... I mean 3 hp, I'd rather have my car run better with a 200 amp alt and not worry about 3 hp honestly...
