Well, here's more of my work. Coming along nicely. Wanted to point out a few things for those of you that wish to upgrade your fuel system.

1 - It's a lot of work

2 - It's easier with the motor out.

3 - **** works better if you get creative.

4 - If it doesn't fit... FORCE IT

5 - take your time. You'll be pulling **** off and putting it back on a hundred times...

6 - Have plenty of **** handy to throw or smash... LOL

You'll see in the pics that **** IT TIGHT.. I'd recommend upgrading the primary rail. I kept the stocker and had it tapped.. The OMP jets are touching... You'll see. All in all it came out GREAT. I fabbed a little bracket to mount the Regulator on the UIM... I just wanted it there so I can pretty much put it all in without **** strung everywhere...

Well, here you go:

I don't imagine it's quality is any less than the other rails available. Very well made. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Did you consider going with twins Justin? Not Mazda spec twins, like bigger twins?

Yeah... Was going to, but the manufacturer couldn't get anything to work. I was pretty much a guniea pig. A well known builder, using all Garrett parts... They just couldn't get any results from the twins like they had hoped. Not really sure WHAT happened, but they just couldn't make it happen. No biggie. I'll take a snail please. Extra large thank you. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

All I know it this is going to end up being a stoopid fast car.

I really only wanted a nice streetcar... I don't know where, but SOMEWHERE along the line I tossed that out the window. **** it!!

Very Nice!

How come you didn't run two seprate line to each rail?

If I was you I would get the t04r it will give you the power numbers you want.

Racer X 08-25-2003 12:08 AM

Damn that looks great.Lets see it in the car next tho.

Looks aweome https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif and very serious!

Just 2 questions:

*What is this "IGY" set-up?

*Did you consider getting a Garret GT series turbo?

looks good man. yes i knew those oil injectors were close, but i knew it would fit. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png most guys around me that i have done use haltech, so those squirters are gone anyway. ones w/ PFC fit the way i sent yours out, so i knew it would be fine. stop bitching. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png LOL!! j/k

other than that, it looks like you are making progress. good job.

rx7machine 08-25-2003 09:17 AM

Looks good. Oh and just wondering, can two turbos, like two GT35/40's be run sequential like the stock twins?

LOL!! Believe me bro... I'm FAR from bitching! I'm a happy boy right now!! It feels awesome to actually make some progress. Not to mention, have a supplier (YOU) who can actually deliver when I send them money... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png Thanks again man!

Well, reason being is this is a relatively popular setup. I know quite a few people running it with no problems. I'm looking for 450+ hp and I'm very sure this can handle it. If I was going bigger I would consider individual feeds. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Yeah... I think the TO4R is looking like the one I want!

Fd3BOOST 05-22-2004 11:09 AM

Where does the line from the bottom of the FPR go to, and where does the vac line that comes off it go to? Does the vac line attach to the LIM? I assume that it does. So whats with that bottom FPR line?

Yea I dug this old ass thread up. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

FiKsE l2X SeVeN Jr 05-22-2004 11:27 AM

I thought he took out his engine again.... oops, didn't realize the date

twinturborx7pete 05-22-2004 01:07 PM

make sure you don't zip tie those vacuum lines to the braided lines.. the braides can eventually wear/tear the vacuum lines...

Fd3BOOST 05-22-2004 03:57 PM

OK I have all the lines figured out, I do have to make another trip to the store and buy a couple extra fittings. One question to Justin or Keith, Why are my 2ndary injectors so tall that it wont allow the rail to seat? Is that something I was supposed to somehow modify?

Dave,

The injectors will seat in the rail first.. Lube up the rings a bit and pop them in there. If they aren't seated all the way, it can be tricky... If they are seated in there, then I'm not sure. There shouldn't be much space to close between the rail mounts and the LIM..

Fd3BOOST 05-22-2004 04:57 PM

Ok, am I supposed to remove the mixing plate from the LIM?

And if I am is there anything else (like the 5/8" hose insulator trick) that I should be doing? If I am not supposed to remove the mixing plates from the LIM, then these injectors do not fit. Anyone know what I am sayin?

Fd3BOOST 05-22-2004 05:02 PM

See if this mixing plate is installed in the LIM, then the injectors do not go down far enough into the LIM to actually be able to bolt down the rail.

rxrotary2_7 05-22-2004 07:51 PM

nice cuticles there sexy. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

yes they need to stay out. i dont have your number programed on my phone but i did get your VM. i am at the shore right now so i dont have any access to my phone list on my puter. sorry. try me tomorrow. i will be back for a meet in Philly so you can call all day. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png check your PM's too.

Fd3BOOST 05-23-2004 09:40 AM

So leave the mixxing plate out? If so then that is all i need to know. I can figure it out from there. Thanks fellas.

rxrotary2_7 05-23-2004 06:47 PM

keep them out.

rfreeman27 05-23-2004 08:52 PM

Dave, are you gonna make a grommit to seal the injector? I used some 3/8 (iirc) heater hose...cut it a little bigger then the gap, and squeezed it down when i tightned the rail.

Yea, Keiths site has a how to that points that out. I was going to use some hose to make insulators. I should have it all done by tonight.
